“Room with a View” describes the challenging situation in which we, as artists, students, and individuals, suddenly found ourselves during the pandemic, and attempts to transcend the boundaries of previous artistic self-representation. Thrown out of our comfort zones and with our homes transformed into workplaces, schools, or daycare centers, our living spaces became multifunctional environments that confronted people with new challenges. To depict the often precarious and absurd nature of this situation, Emma Louise Meyer and Melanie Schulz staged their fellow students from the Textile Arts class together with their works at their respective places of residence. This resulted in a collection of 15 postcards. Decorated with analog stickers, the set is also an attempt to playfully engage with the digitality of our everyday lives.
